I did not get anything interesting this week for Photo Friday, so I dug up this pic from Hub’s gallery. It was from summer 07, our first back country trip.
We are heading up to the same spot in a couple of weeks, and I am so excited! We did not do any camping last year because of all the house renovating, so I can’t wait. It will be a little different now that we live in the woods. It won’t be as much of a change.
This camping area at least has a place to go to the bathroom, although it is a bit of a walk and, er, rustic.
Last time we were there I had to go in the middle of the night and was fairly convinced I was going to get abducted by aliens, serial killers, or the undead (because that can’t get you IN the tent). So when hubs kind of moved while I was putting my shoes on, I was like “ARE YOU AWAKE???”
Response- “I am now.”
Me-”Will you walk down to the bathroom with me?”
Response-”No.”
I may or may not have ran there and back. Only the aliens will know for sure.

Beautiful skies today. Perfect for steeple pictures.

I have been a little obsessed with church steeples lately. This one is down by my studio. I am loving how steeples look against different types of sky.
The other day there was a incoming storm and this steeple looked so beautiful against the dark gray sky. Unfortunately, I was with out camera that day. So I opted for this shot against the pale blue spring sky.
Also, I have been carrying my camera everywhere, so I don’t miss those amazing views again!

This used to be my dining room, but it’s looked like this for past few several many many weeks.

The other day my BFF  EM came back from a trip to Taco Bell with this fabulous item.
Yes I was also confused how she got this from the Taco Bell. Turns out she made a trip across the street to the mission store (we work in an awesome part of town, can you tell?), just to see what they had.
And they had this. I was giddy. It is so cute!
It needed about 15 minutes with a toothbrush and some Oxy-clean, but now it’s good as new!

Here is the painting I am entering in the regional art show (in addition to the fish). It’s hard to tell in the photo, but the fruit has actually been cut out and then glued on the background. It was part of a painting that didn’t quite work out, but the fruit was so nice, I hated to discard it altogether. It ended up being quite interesting this way. It gives it more dimension and I used a different kind of paper for the background. This created a really interesting effect.

Also, how about that alliteration in the title, huh?

The Wonder all squirrled up in a blanket. Eyes covered as to not disturb his sleep.

I recently read that adding an extra dose of vitamin D warded off seasonal mood disorder (or February, as we call it here in MI). So in addition to my multi-vitamin and calcium, I am now on the D.
